The fine gents over at Th’ink Tank Tattoo in Denver were not happy with their current site and wanted a new design that better suited the style of their studio, as well as a content management system so they could have complete control over their website. So they came to Derek Balmer and fellow Denver designer, Cristian Whitney, to see if they could help. Cristian took sketches from all of the artists at Think Tank and designed a bitchin’ user interface using their original artwork. Derek took Cristian’s designs and assembled them with some lean XHTML, CSS and used ExpressionEngine to keep it all in order.

The finished product was a huge success the shop! Each tattoo artist in the shop has access to their personal section of the website and can make news and portfolio updates with ease. the new system also provided a huge boost with their search ranking and they have sustained a solid rise in business ever since.
